Fabulous Weekend Wedding Blog Links

This weekend is going to be all about getting in the festive spirit for Christmas. I'll be buying my tree from Columbia Flower Market, along with as many wreaths, poinsettias and baubles that I can fit in my little car. This year we're having a pretend Christmas at our house on Thursday 22nd December, because The Boy and I are going away somewhere hot on Christmas Eve. So I'm determined to get the flat looking as Christmassy as possible for all our family. Autumn is well and truly here, and it's blown any hopes of an Indian summer right out of the window. Instead, I'm embracing everything that's wonderful about the changing seasons, from cosy cashmere socks to conker collecting. This was the week when I admitted I was really missing planning my wedding. It's taken a few months to figure it out - it's not like I've been feeling depressed, it was more a lack of anticipation. The simple solution seemed to be to plan another wedding. *Ahem, not really*. I've actually decided to throw all my efforts into planning a supercalafragalisticexpialadoshus Halloween party. That should satisfy my stationery and crafting urges, without me turning into one of those slightly psycho ex-brides who constantly looks through her wedding pictures with a tear in her eye. So it's summer, and wedding season is in full swing. We've been to six so far this year already! I wonder how many brides who've been reading this wedding blog are getting married in the next month? If it's you, here's to the best day of your life. If I had one trademarked piece of advice, it would be Eat Breakfast. Believe me, I had two weddings, so I got to practice. The first felt slightly fraught, and involved me shouting at my mother and husband about helium balloons about an hour before we walked down the aisle. Ironically, said balloons spelt LOVE. The other wedding was totally relaxed and blissful. And the difference was breakfast. So I know it's not Friday, but I started this blog posting a few days ago and it's too good not to feature! This week has been all about accessories for my London wedding at the beginning of May. Ooo, lucky number 7. Huge apologies for missing last week, I went dress shopping at the Jenny Packham sample sale {naughty}. I didn't find a dress, but I did buy a gorgeous gold sequin shrug, which glams up any outfit.
